Drifting is coming back around on June 1st in Stroud! Here's what Gary has to say...

From time to time we encourage our drifting groups to come up with an event to promote drifting in there area. This year Friction Motorsports is working with Drift Militia to bring new ideas and course layouts by Drift Militia to the drifting scene in Oklahoma. Join us on June 1st and be a part of the fun. DM is designing a course and will hosting the DK run along with the prizes for the run. Check out the flyer for more information or post on this event.

Track was very technical this go-round, with only me in attendance, and only for "fun runs". The trophy remains un-challenged!

This is going to be awesome! We've got local drifting, judged competition with professional and semi-pro drifters, a car show, vendor booths, and cupcakes to buy. I'll be drifting... what about you?

Gary with Friction Motorsports says...

For those of you that went to Texas on March 9th you got to see some amazing drifting and experience what it's like to truly compete in judged event. Well now it's our turn to have the home court advantage. Stick to Drifting and Friction Motorsport will hold Round 2 in Stroud Oklahoma on April 20th. I understand that we have NOS on hand as the primary sponsor, Spartan Motorsports, Complete Auto (changing tires) and Terrie Estes Morris, mother of Cody Morris. She will be on hand with a cupcake sale raising money for Cody's foundation. I also understand that several car groups will be on hand for a car show that day and the track will be open for our local drifters.

If you want to compete in Class B, all you need to do to your car is get a metal tip fire extinguisher and a kill switch mounted under the hood were the wipers are located. This will allow track officials to kill the car in the event of a problem.

Class A. 100.00 at the event.
Class B. 100.00 at the event.
Drifting for the day 30.00 You will get to drive with the competitors.
Spectators 10.00
10X10 booth for venders 100.00
10X20 booth is 150.00
Car show entry is 20.00

Event times will be posted in the next week. However this will go on till dark.

Brazel was our main man out setting laps times... with Justin, me, and Paul cheering him on from the sidelines. It was a really nice day! Next time out, let's hope someone takes that trophy home!

Hit up the Sheriff's track with the Oklahoma Z Car Club! Push yourself and your car to the limits in a safe and legal environment! This is the fifth, and maybe final outing this year with the Z club this year... so make sure to represent OCIDE! Who will bring home the trophy?

Cost is $25 for Z club members, and $35 for non members.

You can take passengers along for the ride, but everybody needs a helmet! In the past, the Z club has usually set the track up to be a little less "technical" with higher lap speeds! They'll split you into groups of 3-5 cars and stagger the cars out of the gate. You'll be driving several laps before you have to head back in to let the next group go, but there are no official times being taken.

Track is located at NE 36th and Air Depot. Check it out! => http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/
