This will take place in Stroud, OK... however it is now on the 31st. I've updated the event and the calender to reflect this change. Below is the explanation by Gary with Friction Motorsports...

Sorry, I have been dealing with too many people today about this. Here it is in a nut shell.

Part of the contract is that Insurance on both parts must be accepted. Frictions insurance cleared and last I had heard, Crossroads sent a letter off to there company. Two weeks pasted and we all thought everything was fine as the company told them "they did not think it was a problem with Friction having its own insurance". Also they stated that if there was an issue they would call. late yesterday the owner of the mall got a call and was told "no", so he tried to up the policy to 10,000,000 and they still said "no", then he said 100,000,000. the insurance told him if had any kind of moving car show, meets, racing or bikes, that they would cancel and he would have to find other insurance.

The owner of Crossroads and his son both race cars as a hobby. That said, he wants to do this but his hands are tied. So last night he sent me the response from the insurance company at 5 pm to my work, were I got it this morning. This is a huge letdown for both the owner and Friction. These are the things we have to get around to be able to drift anywhere. We even had some of the same problems with Stroud. They all just have to be worked out.

Now on the other hand. CCM:13 is still happening.

Last year when we were turned down by Stroud, I keep up with them and continued to work with them. In December I gave them three dates we wanted to try for. I submitted those in January. They said they would call me in February if they were approved by the counsel. I never got a call back and had other things in the fire. I called them today and they said the dates were approved by the counsel and new owners of the back lot. Great, now was a great time to find out! I guess you can say persistence pays off.

We have dates and the first one is March 31st that I applied for. With that we use the date or lose it. So we are moving it to Stroud on March 31st. I still have to get the contract signed and insurance moved. Sac & Fox and I are sure we can get this done by next week. So right now that is the plan. The bad news is that at some point we will lose Stroud as a drifting area. The other half of that is that we were able to schedule a years worth of events at one time. Now we can only get three months at a time and it will lessen from there till we are month to month.

I know that a lot of people have spent money to get ready, Some of yo have bought plane tickets and other things. Some of it will be wasted and some can wait till march 31st. I paid to get things rush shipped to me for this event have lost money as well as look like a fool. But that will not stop me from drifting. I am going on the 31st and you can come with us and have some fun, go to Texas and some fun or just go out on your own and take a chance. Either way I will be drifting. If you let this get you down then I feel for you.

I will tell you what I tell my son, "Life is rough, get a helmet and get in the game". I have a helmet for the BS, Fighting my way though and one for being human.
