I'm mixing it up a bit this year and going to just post a single thread on these guys. They put their calendar up with track dates for the year... so here we go!

The Porsche Club is runs periodic track days on Saturdays/Sundays at the OKC Sheriff's track off of NE 36th and Air Depot.

$30 (cash) to run. The required drivers meeting time changes, and they start late, but if you miss the required drivers meeting, you won't be allowed to race! Look for time updates here as I get them.

Their tracks tend to be very technical with a few areas to stretch your legs. The events are all timed and you get 8 laps (one at a time, divided in 2 heats of 4). The times I've run with them they seem pretty nice and easy going, but sticklers when it comes to their rules (fair stuff... like be at the drivers meeting on time). You'll need a helmet (they have a few loaners), and they have instructors that will ride with novice drivers if they want (which is pretty cool), but you can NOT have passengers during timed laps. More often than not it'll start late... but they'll straight lock you out if you don't make it in time for the drivers meeting. You've been warned.

After the normal timed laps, and if they have time, they usually allow "fun-runs". These are non-timed laps that anybody can take (paid or not), with or without passengers (with proper safety equipment of course). These are great if you just want a couple laps for giggles, want to take someone for a spin, want to switch cars, or whatever else you may want to do.

OCIDE encourages those that can to stay and help pic up cones and clean up after the event.

Here's the map and all that.

Remember... timed laps need less OCIDE members to officially fight for the trophy! Who's gonna take it home?!
